Orientation of rod-like particles was investigated in stretching flow of photopolymers. The photopolymer was stretched between two moving disks, and the following capillary thinning and solidification by UV light were observed. Orientation of particle was quantitatively evaluated as a function of a stretching rate and a particle concentration. It was found that the stretching rate and a start time of the solidification did not influence the particle orientation remarkably. The orientation of the rod-like particles was dependent on the concentration of dispersed particles. The transient diameter profile agreed with the diameter obtained from FEM analysis, assuming the Oldroyd-B model.
