Abstract
A method to investigate the correlation between KV2 and KV8 based on the absorbed energy-temperature curve is reported in this paper. Two cases are considered in the method: (1) a case where specimens are broken into two pieces, and (2) a case where the percentage of shear fracture is studied. If a specimen is broken into two parts, there are no significant differences in the KV2 and KV8 results. However, if a specimen is not broken into two parts, the KV8 is significantly higher than KV2.
